RPAYC is proud to welcome Pantaenius as the naming rights sponsor for the 3 day regatta with the continued support from Sydney Marine Brokerage for the NSW ORC Championship.
The Pittwater Regatta originated back in 1888 and has seen a variation of race formats, classes and challenges. Today the regatta is held annually in February and held over 3-days. It is a regatta for all sailors, offering a multitude of race formats, course areas and classes.
The very popular 5 Heads Challenge Race is on Saturday – with a stunning 20nm mile race through Pittwater and Broken Bay at the entrance to Hawkesbury River.
There will be fun, games, and music onshore throughout the regatta.

NEW for 2025 – Australian Sports Boat Association – Australian Championship will be held in conjunction with the Pantaenius Pittwater Regatta
The Pantaenius Pittwater Regatta is a 3 day regatta, including the NSW ORC Championship, Pittwater Cup Series and the 2025 Australian Sports Boat National Championship.
- The NSW ORC Championship, supported by Sydney Marine Brokerage, will be held from 7 to 9 February and consists of an offshore passage race, offshore windward/leeward racing, and inshore racing.
- On Saturday, 8, and Sunday, 9 February, the Pittwater Series will take place. The Pittwater Cup Series will include racing in Pittwater and the Estuary (Broken Bay), with ORC and PHS scoring for divisions.
- The 2025 Australian Sports Boat Championship will be held over 3 days.
- The Sydney 38 NSW Championship will be held over 2 days.
There will be live entertainment for crews, families and friends, to enjoy their time onshore after racing! The ‘Halyards’ Bar and Bistro will be open throughout the regatta serving breakfast through to dinner. Saturday evening sees a Crew party and BBQ. Following racing on Sunday afternoon, there will be a presentation to crown the winners of all divisions!
