Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club’s Discover Sailing Centre & Training Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, professional and driven Head Coach to deliver our seasonal sail training programs, including Australian Sailing Discover Sailing courses and Club Participation Programs for Kids, Teens and Adults! 

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Head Sailing Coach to lead and develop our year-round training program. This pivotal role focuses on attracting and retaining new sailors while supporting those who wish to enhance their skills. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: Design and implement innovative training programs that cater to a wide range of sailing needs, encouraging participation across junior, youth, and adult levels.
LEADERSHIP: Support the training and development of instructors, ensuring high-quality instruction aligned with Australian Sailing guidelines and ratios.
AMBASSADOR: Act as a key representative of the club, promoting RPAYC’s ethos and maintaining our reputation as a leading sailing club locally and nationally.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Engage with members and the wider sailing community to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.

About the Role
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative Sous Chef to elevate our culinary team. In this rare and exciting role, you will work hand-in-hand with our Head Chef, playing a pivotal role in leading our kitchen unit. You’ll not only be a culinary artist but also a mentor and leader, sharing administrative duties and crafting modern, varied menus that delight and inspire.

Key Responsibilities
– Collaborate closely with our Head Chef to lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team with a hands-on approach.
– Plan and create contemporary menus that excite.
– Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene practices.
– Oversee administrative duties such as rosters and ordering, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
– Exhibit strong work ethic, self-motivation, and meticulous attention to detail.
– Demonstrate commercial and financial acumen in all kitchen activities.
– Flexibility to work a varied roster, including weekdays and weekends.

Requirements
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
– Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
– Creative flair for designing modern, varied menus.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Administrative experience in kitchen management (rosters, ordering) is an advantage.
– Knowledge of WHS and hygiene practices.
– Preferably, a local resident of the Northern Beaches.

Boatyard Service Hands

Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, located at Newport on the Northern Beaches, is seeking casual Boatyard Hands to join its dedicated team.
The team work efficiently together with a focus on safety and quality.
Duties include preparation and application of marine coatings, polishing, detailing, cleaning, and general maintenance.
Training and all PPE is provided. A great opportunity to start your career in the marine industry.

Bar Staff Needed

Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, located at Newport on the Northern Beaches, is seeking a motivated and dedicated bar staff, to join our Food & Beverage team, working across our bistro and functions.

Casual Bar Staff Requirements:

  • Current RSA certificate
  • Barista skills (desirable)
  • Bistro &/or Function experience

Casual hourly rates under the Registered & Licensed Clubs Award.
