DF65 Remote Control Yachting
Weekly Competition
Welcome to Dragon Force 65 RC Yachting
What is a Dragon Force 65
Welcome to a fun, affordable, open to all ages means of yacht racing.
DF65 sailboat is remote control boat with nice plastic hulls. Whole DF monoclass has affordable prices, and so offer good value.
These RC yachts have a hull length of 65 cm and are a good choice to start due to several advantages (there is also a very similar 95 cm version). They are very easy to handle, provide a great opportunity to develop foundation sailing knowledge, and afford a relatively fair robustness, despite their plastic hulls.
The majority of users can rely on intuition when learning to navigate with a radio controller in their hands. Moreover, it is also necessary to emphasise the good performance of the DF sailboats, which proved to be reliable in various weather conditions through numerous regattas (some downsizes are in stronger winds and waves too).
Fun is an important part of the DF monoclass and is a good option for anybody wanting to enter the RC sailing world. These small (more affordable) boats will help you to devlop strong foundation knowledge and experience needed for bigger and much faster RC yachts, for example, IOM RC sailboats.
Weekly Racing at RPAYC is held on Thursdays.
Members and guests meet in Halyards Bistro from 9.00am before racing at 10.00am. Courses are based on wind direction and suitability.
Lunch usually follows for those who have built up an appetite racing – with the competitors returning to the club around 12.oopm to dine in Halyards.
