Thursday 15 to Monday 19 October 2026
The Club is proud to be hosting the 2026 Pittwater Sail Expo on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October. This is a significant event on the Club calendar, showcasing sailing and welcoming visitors from across the wider community.
To support the safe and successful delivery of the event, temporary parking restrictions will apply in the lead-up to and throughout the Sail Expo weekend. These arrangements will help maximise parking for members who are racing or visiting the Club, as well as guests attending the event.
Member and Tenant Parking
**Overnight parking will not be permitted anywhere on Club grounds during this period.
All vehicles currently parked or stored at the Club must be removed by evening Thursday 15 October and remain offsite for the duration of the restrictions.
Members who live offshore are kindly asked to make alternative parking arrangements.
Tenants must ensure that no business or personal vehicles are left onsite overnight. Tenants operating during Sail Expo are requested to park in Mitala Street. Visitor parking bays and hardstand areas must not be used for tenant or member parking.
The following restrictions will apply:
Lower car park: No overnight parking
Middle car park: No overnight parking
Top car park: No overnight parking
Visitor bays: No overnight parking
Crystal Bay car park: No overnight parking**
** Members with exceptional circumstances may apply in advance for approval to park overnight. Approval is not guaranteed. Where permission is granted, the member will be issued a Sail Expo parking permit and directed to an approved parking location. The permit must be clearly displayed on the vehicle’s dashboard.
Parking will be in high demand during Sail Expo, with increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic expected both within the Club grounds and on surrounding streets. Effective traffic management is therefore an important part of the Club’s event safety planning and has been considered in consultation with local emergency services. Temporary traffic and parking measures will be in place to help maintain safe access and traffic flow throughout the event.
We respectfully ask all members and tenants to comply with these arrangements. Failure to observe the Special Event Parking Restrictions may result in parking privileges being withdrawn.
Normal access and parking arrangements will resume on Monday 19 October.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Your support will help the Club deliver a safe and successful event that benefits our members and community while promoting sailing to a wider audience.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Sail Expo 2026!
Yours sincerely
