Pittwater Rendezvous for Shag Islet
The Shag Island Cruising Yacht Club has extended it’s annual Season of Sail to include a Sydney Rendezvous for the first time. This event is being hosted by RPAYC from 14th to 21st of May. All local “Vice Commodores” and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the camaraderie of SICYC, as well as hosting SICYC members sailing north during the cruising season. Clarence River Cruise (Oct – Nov 2021)
Clarence River Cruise Briefing – 23 May 10am
As part of our preparations we will be conducting the cruise briefing seminar at the Club on Sunday 23 May at 10:00am. Come along to hear about cruising the Clarence River. In order for us to finalise arrangements for the cruise we request that anyone who is planning to attend the cruise register their interest ASAP.
First Friday June – Osaka and Back
We are finally able to welcome Annette Hesselman as our First Friday guest. Annette with husband Gerard Snyjders took part in the Melbourne to Osaka 2 handed race. She then cruised back to Australia with her daughter Sophie and Sophie’s partner Jack as crew.

Race ‘n’ Cruise – June
In June instead of the normal estuary cruise following the June First Friday, we will be having our Race ’n’ Cruise on Sunday 6 June. The plan is to race up to Challenger Head, meet up for a post race celebration and prize giving and then sail back.
As part of this Race’n Cruise we will have a photography boat to provide the opportunity to have photos taken of your boat’s under sail. We will have a BBQ back at the Club after the “race”.
June Long Weekend Cruise 12-14 June
With Vivid being postponed until later in the year, we have decided to have the June Long Weekend cruise in Pittwater. Our plans are to sail to Bobbin Head on Saturday 12 June and enjoy a relaxing time doing some bushwalks and exploring the upper reaches of Cowan Creek.
