We had 13 registered boats , join the fleet on the water for Round 4 of the ZHIK Summer Series on Sunday 10 March.
A large number of our Laser fleet were at the NSW/ACT Metropolitan Championships in Vaucluse over the weekend, and we look forward to reading about those results in E News.
The remaining ILCAs, along with an Opti, SKUD, 29er, a handful of WASZPS, an Aero, Flying Ant and a Manly Junior, all set out in Little Pond in 8 – 12 knots out of the North East.
In the ILCA7’s it was Bruce Ferguson on Whisper winning each of the 3 races over Michael Hanavan on Joanna.
In the WASZPS’s It was Will Troop on No Limits who was consistent throughout the day, winning the day from Oliver Ross on Scrat and Jervis Tilly on Fast.
In the Mixed Medium Handicap it was Greg Jacobs on Sailability Liros, and the Rear Commodore of Centreboard Mat Butterworth in his first race of the season battling it out.
In the Mixed Junior Handicap it was Lucie Howell on Bullet winning each of the 3 races with Jonathan James on Hornet finishing second.
After abandoning racing the previous week due to a lack of volunteers, a big thanks to all our volunteers who jumped in and helped for the fourth round of the Zhik Summer Series!
