We had 17 boats registered and join the fleet on the water for Round 2 of the ZHIK Summer Series on Sunday 18 February.

Quite a few ILCAs, a handful of Optis, SKUD’s, 29er and a Manly Junior, all set out in Big Pond in light variable winds mainly out of the East.

In the ILCA6’s we had 8 boats in the fleet in a tight contest at the top. It was Jenny Danks on SPEC who won races 1 and 3 taking out the overall win, followed by Prudence Bennett on Momentai in 2nd place and Charlie Byford on the Chocolate Factory in 3rd place. In the ILCA7’s it was Bruce Ferguson on Whisper winning each of the Races.

It was great to see the Opti’s back on Sunday with Ruben Steel on Chicken Dinner proving too strong, wining each of the races, with Lara Dorling on Lord Lion and Jack Garland on Blue Dog taking out the minor places.

In the Mixed Medium handicap it was Greg Jacobs on Sailability Liros, who managed some really good starts and won each of the races.
