Yachting 2022-23 Season Starters Information

Welcome! The New RPAYC Yachting Season for 2022-2023 is now underway. Please read on for some important information, to get your boat and crew all set to go, for your first race of the new season.

Annual Sailor Forum for Skippers and Crew – Thursday 8th September, 1830hrs
Race Director, Nick Elliott and Rear Commodore Yacht Racing, Robert McClelland will address the upcoming season’s major and new events, as well as the updates to the Courses and Rules, in the new season’s Sailing Handbook.

In addition, an RMS Representative will make a presentation on the current rules and regulations in NSW, including reminders for safe boating practices on Pittwater, plus the commercial traffic management schemes in place in major ports.

– Short Offshore Pointscore Series: Saturday 10th September 2022
– Estuary Series: Saturday 10th September 2022
– Pittwater Inshore Series: Saturday 17th September 2022
– One Design and Sports Boat Sprints Series: Saturday 17th September 2022
– Thursday Spring Twilight Series: Thursday 13th October 2022
– Tuesday Women’s Twilight Series: Tuesday 25th October 2022
– *Bluewater Coastal Pointscore Series: Saturday 29th October 2022

Australian Sailing & RPAYC Special Regulations Audits
Cat 7, Cat 4 and Cat 3 (as well as Cruising Audits), are now due for renewal. If the last racing audit for your boat, was prior to 1st May 2022, your boat is due for its next audit now. Prior to organising your next audit, download the relevant forms from the Club website, fill in and check all the required items and equipment, then submit those forms to the Sailing Office.

2022-2023 Sailing Handbook
The new season’s Sailing Handbook (for Yachting), has been published and is now available for download from the Club Website. In the handbook, you will find the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions, for each of the series mentioned above.
Hard copies are available from Reception $22.00.

Race Entry
Online Race Entry is now open and available, via the SailSys platform. Each boat will be required to submit a separate entry, for each series to be entered. Additionally, each entry will need to be supported with ‘compliance documentation’ (ie Cat 7 and Insurance documents), via the SailSys platform.

Crew Register and Crew List
Each boat will be required to maintain a Crew Register in the SailSys platform. Further, Crew Lists will also be required to be submitted, via the SailSys platform, for every race.

NEW Course Sheets
NEW Course sheets have been issued, as of 1st September 2022.
WHITE Course Sheet: Applicable to all Inshore and Estuary racing, including Twilights, Wednesdays, and some Saturdays.
BLUE Course Sheet: Applicable to SOPS racing only.

*Yellow and Green Course sheets, are now REDUNDANT.
