Volunteers Cocktail Night 2026

On Friday night, almost 100 of our volunteers gathered for our annual Volunteers Cocktail Party to celebrate the people who contribute so much to the life of our Club.

A highlight of the evening was recognising our Volunteer of the Year, Frank Walker. Frank spoke warmly of receiving the award and reflected on the many facets of his volunteer service over several decades, particularly his contribution as a Category 1 Safety Auditor and his work supporting offshore sailors and racing programs.

The award was presented by last year’s Volunteer of the Year, Vice Commodore Julia Hornsby, who also received the honour of being named Australian Sailing Volunteer of the Year in 2025/26.

It was a wonderful evening, with great company, excellent food and outstanding service. Thank you to everyone who volunteers their time, skills and energy to make RPAYC the special club it is.
