13-15 December 2025: Competitors from the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC) were among the strong contingent at the Summer Optimist Regatta – Sydney (SORS25) hosted by the Georges River 16’ Sailing Club, held over the 3 days with a field of 39 young sailors in the Open Fleet and 45 in the Intermediate Fleet. The event, which attracts junior sailors across the region, saw competitors navigating 10 races in the Open Fleet and 8 races in the Intermediate fleet.
In the Open Fleet, RPAYC entries made their mark with several solid finishes, showcasing promising talent against a competitive field largely dominated by sailors from other clubs:
Zachary Tait (RPAYC / TASC) secured 11th place, finishing all three races with consistent results.
