Easily the fastest growing One Design class on Pittwater is the DF65, and with RPAYC’s fleet now exceeding twenty boats (most of them racing weekly) the class is starting to attract some very competitive sailors.

Next week four sailors from RPAYC will be heading up to the Sunshine Coast to try their luck at the DF65 Australian Championships. Phil Burgess, Greig Ebeling, John Groves and I will be among the forty competitors from around Australia contesting this year’s Australian Championships.

We expect Phil to be the in form sailor from RPAYC having just returned from the DF95 Worlds in England, where he was more than competitive. For the rest of us it will be a great opportunity to gauge how competitive we are against some of the best radio sailors in Australia. Follow the link below to the event website.
