Racers and Cruisers Underway on Day One of the 53rd Dicko Cup

The 53rd running of the Dicko Cup is officially underway today, with both the Racing and Cruising fleets setting sail from Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club for the opening race of this much-loved annual weekend.

With a 12:00 start for both divisions, competitors are enjoying the first leg of the event as they head north to Lion Island, with anticipation building for the traditional post-race festivities awaiting crews at Hallett’s Beach. As always, the Dicko Cup combines competitive racing with the relaxed camaraderie that has made it a highlight of the RPAYC calendar for more than five decades.
