Public Comment invited on Proposed Amendments to the Special Regulations

Australian Sailing have issued a notice for public comment on two proposed amendments to the Special Regulation, have your say by completing the short survey. Comments are closed on Friday 10 September 2021.

Public comment is invited on two proposed amendments to the Special Regulations. The feedback received is important to Australian Sailing and will help to inform the decision on how to proceed.

  • The amendments available to comment on are:
    Electrical Engines. Please go to https://www.sailing.org.au/surveys/2417/ To view and provide comment on the proposed amendment to bring the Special Regulations in line with World Sailing’s Offshore Special Regulations permitting the use of electrical engines.
  • Pulpits, Stanchions, Lifelines.  Please go to https://www.sailing.org.au/surveys/2418/ To view and provide comment on the proposed amendment to bring the Special Regulation in line with World Sailing’s Offshore Special Regulations regarding Pulpits, Stanchions and Lifelines.

Australian Sailing recognises that the implementation date of any change to policy, rule or regulations is subject to clubs’ capacity to host sailing operations and club house activities due to COVID-19. All proposals and implementation dates are subject to change or delay around this important consideration.
