Special Event Parking Restrictions
Thursday 23 to Monday 27 October
The Club will be hosting the 2025 Pittwater Sail Expo from Friday, 24 to Sunday, 26 October. This is a significant event on our calendar, showcasing sailing and RPAYC to thousands of visitors and welcoming both members and guests to the club.
To make this possible, we will need to temporarily adjust normal operations, and Special Event Parking restrictions will be in place. We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience and apologise for the disruption; we thank you for your cooperation.
During the Expo, to maximise available parking for members racing and for visitors attending the event, the following special event parking restrictions will be in place from Thursday evening 23 until Monday 27 October.
What this means for Member Parking
No overnight parking anywhere on club grounds. All vehicles currently stored at the club must be moved offsite by Thursday 23 October.
- Lower car park: No overnight parking
- Middle car park: No overnight parking
- Top car park: No overnight parking
- Visitor bays: No overnight parking
- Crystal Bay car park: No overnight parking**
**Members with special circumstances requiring overnight parking, my request approval and, if permitted, will be issued a permit for parking at Crystal Bay car park. Parking permit must be displayed on the dashboard.
Parking during the event will be in high demand and traffic management forms a crucial part of the safety planning undertaken in consultation with our local emergency services teams. These measures are not only about managing member and visitor parking but are essential to ensuring safe and compliant traffic flow within the surrounding streets.
Members are kindly reminded that failure to observe special event parking restrictions may result in parking privileges being withdrawn.
Normal access and parking arrangements will resume from Monday 27 October.
We thank all members for their understanding and support. By making these temporary adjustments for three days, you’re helping us deliver a successful and safe event that benefits our Club, community and promotes sailing to a wider audience.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Sail Expo 2025!
Yours sincerely
