Day 3 of the MUSTO Optimist Australian Championship saw the Fleet held ashore again, unlike Day 2 which didn’t see a race start till 4pm and competitors off the water at 7pm the Easterly set in soon after 2pm at 10-12knts.
The conditions allowed the Race Committee to complete 2 races, as needed for the day to complete the qualifying series for the Open Fleet.
Green Fleet had a ball, with the Nationals being the only event throughout the season were they score points. Under the watchful eye of the Coaches, they (30) were sailing around the triangular course with ease… mostly. With each race, improvements were noted by the RO, Nick Elliott. At the conclusion of the day 3 races had been completed.
