Recent winds means mooring lines are working really hard and we’re happy to report that most lines securing vessels across the marina are in good or excellent condition. There are a handful of lines identified that are showing signs of age, chaffing and some that are undersized. As we conduct the Boat Check service we will get in touch with Members where we have concerns regarding the integrity of the lines.
The Club offers splicing services on the marina and Members are also welcome to replace their own or to engage a contractor. We ask those intending to replace their own lines to ensure mooring lines are suitable for boat size (see below chart) and secured in such a manner to prevent overhang over walkway, regardless of wind direction.
