URGENT BOATING UPDATE
The NSW Government provided an update last night limiting boating movement in the Northern Zone to only the waters of Pittwater.
(Updated 8pm on 30 December 2020).
Broken Bay Water Police have advised RPAYC this morning that with the revised information that there should be no boating movement from Pittwater outside of a line between Barrenjoey Head and West Head.
Water Police will be asking vessels from the Northern Zone that are currently outside of Pittwater to return. We understand that they will be visiting various locations such as America Bay and Refuge Bay during the day and requesting boats to leave.
The update provided by NSW Government last night is as follows: –
Boating
You can go out on a boat for recreation purposes.
In the northern area of the Northern Beaches, no more than 5 people from the same area are permitted on the boat (and it is advised to stay out on deck).
In the southern area of the Northern Beaches, no more than 10 people from the same area are permitted on the boat (and it is advised to stay out on deck).
Residents in the northern area of the Northern Beaches can participate in exercise or outdoor recreation, including boating, in Pittwater.
People who live outside the Northern Beaches cannot enter Pittwater by boat unless they have an essential reason.
