Welcome to the 2021 State Championships at Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club.
With less than a week away to make your experience as streamlined as possible the following email is an overview of the event and links to further information.
Of importance first up, have you advised your arrival and departure date with the club? Boats Are required to be in the water by Thursday 1700hrs and will be pre-assigned berths. Any Support Boats are require to register their arrival as well.

Cranage is via Crystal Bay and or Green Point, access and flow will be managed by RPA Waterfront staff assisted by volunteers. Contac Us on approach on 99983700.
Please note that RPAYC is a Covid 19 safe location, to maintain this, EVERYONE is required to sign on arrival to club grounds via the NSW Government QR codes located across the grounds and at Reception. Entry into the Club House also requires crew to sign in with Reception as a ‘Regatta Entrant’ for the schedule of events. Crew lockers are available either outside the Regatta Office or lockable lockers within the club clubhouse bathrooms. Due to Covid 19 requirements, access to lower ground bathrooms is only accessible via the side entrances. Upstairs bathrooms are accessible via the main entrance.
Schedule:
- Registration/Weigh in – Wednesday 12-5pm, Regatta Office. Located within the Club House.
- Registration/Weigh in – Thursday 9-5pm, Regatta Office. Located within the Club House.
The Organising Authority is providing and fitting Bow Numbers. Boats with existing Bow Numbers will be allocated that number and will therefore not need to remove and apply new numbers.
- Skippers Briefing – Friday 10am, Halyards Bistro and Bar.
- Race 1 – Friday 12pm
- Racing – Saturday 12pm
- Racing – Sunday 12pm
Presentation – Sunday ASAP after Racing, RPAYC Terrace, located within the Club House.
Tow boats will be on station off B and C-Arm Marina T-Heads with towlines deployed from 1030hrs. It is the responsibility of the crew attach themselves to the tow lines.
Ensure your Entry has the correct contact details included and you have selected the appropriate scoring categories, see NoR 17.

Crew Submission and Association Membership:
Please enter your crew details no later than Tuesday evening so that the registration process can proceed.
Please also ensure all crew are paid up with their respective Fleet and hence the Australian and International Etchells Associations.
If a crew substitution is sought, a request must be made noting the details of the crew being substituted, the new crew and the date(s) substitution is sought and must be submitted for approval by the Jury no later than Thursday midday. Email sailing@rpayc.com.au
ADD Crew: You can start adding your crew for Race 1 on Friday here: https://www.topyacht.com.au/db/kb/login_crew_list.php?evid=1368 You will be asked to update it each race day and indicate by ticking the “Yes I’m Racing” button on submission of your crew.
