Australia’s largest sailing expo is coming to The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club on 24–26 October, proudly supported by Pantaenius, and we need your help to make it a success!
The Pittwater Sail Expo will feature more than 36 boats on display on the marina and 23 exhibitors onshore across the Ring Road and Halyards Lawn. It’s not just a commercial showcase—it’s also a fantastic chance to welcome hundreds of visitors, show off our Club, and inspire new sailors and members.
We’re very fortunate that Past Commodore Russell Murphy has once again generously offered to lead the volunteer team, just as he did so successfully in 2019.
How You Can Help
Volunteers are needed across a range of areas, including:
- Membership & Club Promotion – greeting visitors, handing out info packs, and explaining RPAYC pathways (training, cruising, youth, twilight racing, centreboard sailing).
- Welcome & Sign In – helping visitors sign in and enter the Lucky Door Prize, plus providing basic event information.
- Operations & Logistics – assisting with parking, pathways, signage, and general crowd flow.
- General Support – being a friendly RPAYC presence, directing visitors, and helping wherever needed.
Shifts are available across all three days (morning and afternoon). Whether you can give a few hours or a full day, your support will make a big difference.

As Commodore, I want to sincerely thank all those who have already put their hand up to volunteer, we greatly appreciate your support of the Club. And thank you in advance to everyone else who is able to help us present RPAYC at its very best.
This will be a fantastic show, and we look forward to seeing members and guests enjoying this celebration of sailing boats, gear, and lifestyle right here at RPAYC.
