World Sailing is excited to announce that registration is now open for the Inclusive Development Program (IDP) ahead of the Hansa Class World Championships, hosted by the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club from 19th to 22nd March 2025.
The IDP is a cornerstone of World Sailing’s Para Inclusive Strategy 2024–2029, with a focus on participation, accessibility, and social impact and change. This unique program is designed to equip sailors with the tools to enhance their performance and fully engage in competitive Para Inclusive Sailing.
What to Expect
- World-Class Coaching:
- Two expert coaches from World Sailing’s IDP Team.
- Additional support from local coaching staff.
- Travel Support Grants:
- Available for emerging nations to encourage wider participation.
- Performance Module:
- An intensive program to help sailors prepare for the Hansa World Championships.
Key Information
- No Fee to Participate: The IDP is free to attend, but places are limited. Registration does not guarantee acceptance, and participants will be informed of their status at the earliest opportunity.
- Athletes’ Responsibility:
- Participants are responsible for providing their own (or chartered) boat, accommodation, food, and transportation to the Yacht Club.
