Welcome to the Alfreds Windsurfing Program

RPAYC offers Members a simple training pathway for all ages wanting to get into windsurfing or for those seasoned sailors to develop their skills.
Training is delivered by Australian Sailing (AS) accredited instructors following a national syllabus.

RPAYC provides a pathway from the beginner stages right through to race coaching. If you want to discover windsurfing, we will provide a safe, fun, and affordable environment to build your skills.

Training And Racing Opportunity

Windsurfing Twilight Sprints

New for 2019, Twilight Windsurfing races. Sprint races held on Friday evenings.

Register with the Sailing Office to compete. Entry is $ 20 per day. 
Don’t have a Board, not a problem, you can lease one from the Club.
Volunteers needed to manage racing.

Discover Windsurfing Session – Introduction & Club Racing

This is your first step in learning to windsurf. It is the perfect introduction to the basics of windsurfing and an introduction to sailing on Pittwater and Club life at the RPAYC. 

Sessions are held on Sunday Mornings. A qualified AS instructor will be on water and take you through the basic’s of windsurfing before participanting in a casual fun manner in the race.  

There is no experience necessary and no assumed knowledge, just come along to have fun and we’ll take care of the rest. Bring your friends or family for a great time out on Pittwater.

BYO Board or lease one from the Club. Course is limited to 4 participants.

Start Windsurfing Course

RPAYC offers Members a simple training pathway for all ages wanting to get into windsurfing or for those seasoned sailors to develop their skills. Training is delivered by Australian Sailing (AS) accredited instructors following a national syllabus.

The Start Windsurfing course is the perfect introduction to learn how to windsurf for the first time, and develop the correct sailing technique. The club will provide all of the equipment (LT Board, sails, lifejacket) and there are smaller sail sizes available for those windy days!
