Congratulations to Nick Jerwood (WRSC) on winning the 2026 DF65 Australian National Championship, with Andrew Gibbs (PRYC) finishing second and Gary Metcalfe (PRYC) third after a very competitive week of racing at Grahamstown Dam, NSW. The championship was sailed over qualifying and finals series in a wide range of conditions and attracted a strong fleet from clubs across Australia, producing very close racing in the Gold, Silver and Bronze fleets.
RPAYC was very well represented throughout the event, with six boats qualifying for the Gold Fleet, among the strongest club representation in the championship.

Having six RPAYC boats qualify for the Gold Fleet finals, all finishing well up the leaderboard, was an outstanding result and a great reflection of the depth across the RPAYC DF65 fleet.

2nd – Chris Ting
Chris Ting’s second place in the Bronze Fleet was a great result and rounded out a very consistent championship for the club.
