RPAYC Annual General Meeting
As a result of the NSW Premier’s announcement this morning to extend the lockdown for a further two weeks, the Annual General Meeting of the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club will no longer be able to be held on Thursday 22 July 2021 and will have to be rescheduled to a later date. The ballot process has also been suspended until further notice.
The Club’s Constitution does not provide an option to hold a virtual AGM or offer alternative methods to vote for elected officers while the clubhouse remains closed.
A new date for the AGM and a timetable for the ballot will be announced when we have some certainty from the NSW Government that restrictions will be eased to a level to allow the ballot of officers to proceed and members to safely gather. In accordance with our Constitution a minimum of 21 days’ notice will be provided to members for the revised AGM date.
Under the current restrictions the Clubhouse will reopen on Saturday 31 July 2021
All RPAYC organised sailing and training events are cancelled during the period of lockdown, however vessels are accessible for maintenance purposes and can be used for exercise provided that members adhere to the rules of NSW Health. ‘Current’ exercise and outdoor recreation rules for leaving home include: –
