Centreboard Club Championship Round 4 - Race Day Report

We had 16 boats join the fleet on the water in the Little Pond for Round 4 of the ZHIK Centreboard Club Championships on Sunday 17 March.

A few ILCAs, 4 Family Pacers, 1 Opti, some SKUD18’s, Vipers, all set out in Little Pond to race in tricky conditions with light shifting wind throughout the afternoon.

Congratulations to Jenny Danks on SPEC and Colin Beashel on 2105 in a tight tussle in the ILCA 6’s and Brett Kimmorley on Imagine in the ILCA 7’s winning all 3 races.

In the Family Pacers it was great to have 4 starters. It was Katie and Chloe winning all 3 races with Nadene and Lara finishing second in all the races with Andrew and Lucie finishing third overall on the day. Well done to all competitors in this division.

In the Vipers, it was great to see 3 boats registered and racing. Luke Ratcliff proved too strong on the day, winning the first 2 races, and finishing second in the t race.

In the Mixed Medium Handicap in the Skud 18’s, congratulations to Greg Jacobs who proved too strong on the day winning all 3 races followed by Linda Buchan on Jim Brown and Brett Stevenson on Callala.

Thanks again to all the volunteers on the start boat and on the support boats in assisting with racing on the day.

We look forward to seeing on Sunday 7 April for the final round in the Summer Series.
