Years of Operation/History: 

Northshore Marine Group, started its history with Northshore Yachts in 1973. Chris, completing his apprenticeship with Northshore Yachts in 1987, and Heath completing his Apprenticeship at Beashals in Elivina Bay in 1988. Chris went on to spend time with North Sails, and ran Kookaburra Challenge operations and sailed professionally around the world on Yachts such as Bumblebee 5, Wild Joe, Loki, Wild Oats x & Xi over many years. Heath started Boatmate and then onsold this business before enquiring Northshore Yachts in 2005 where he began building Melges 24 Class Yachts. Following this, Health started the Melges Class in Australia, running the Melges 24 Class World Championships. In Geelong in 2014, with 65 Melges Class Yachts in Australia, Heath also  continued building the range of Northshore Yachts until selling the Moulds as manufacturing in Australia became too difficult. Heath and Chris then combined in 2010 at the RPAYC and started Northshore Marine Group where we still operate today helping get our fabulous Club Members and Boat Owners spending more time on the water with their boats. Chris & Heath have a wealth of sailing, boating and boat building experience and would love to discuss you boat repairs or maintenance requirements
