Course Overview
This course develops both your theory and practical skills to confidently take control on the helm.

Course Prerequisites

Water confident and the skills, knowledge and experience you gained from Start Crewing.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who want to learn how to helm a keelboat, and continue their skill development as crew.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Helming completion certificate. 

RPAYC INFORMATION

The RPAYC Discover Sailing Centre is pleased to welcome participants to our Adult Learn to Sail Program (Start Helming) for March 2020. This course will include four sessions, conducted over the days as listed above.

**Please note - there are Major Events scheduled at RPAYC on 21st & 28th March, hence allow extra time prior to arriving to locate car parking.

Training will be conducted on the Club's fleet of Elliott 7 Keelboats.

The RPAYC Discover Sailing Centre abides by the Australian Sailing Instructor/Student ratios, hence places are strictly limited. All courses are subject to change with limited notice, based on demand and availability. To avoid disappointment, we recommend registering early.

There are four registration fee categories available for this Course:

• $450.00^ - RPAYC Members
• $485.00^ - RPAYC Members (Includes Text & Log Book)
• $500.00 - Non Members
• $535.00 - Non Members (Includes Text & Log Book)

^To be eligible for the 'Member Discounted Fee', the participating 'Member' is required to be financial for the 2019 / 2020 Membership Season (through until 30th April 2020).

Optional Australian Sailing Course Pack, including Text Book and Log Book, is available for an additional $35.00.
