I hope that this message finds you well.
In recent days there has been a tightening of restrictions in NSW for Hotels and restaurants due to increased COVID-19 infection rates. Fortunately, the new restrictions and revised requirements do not apply to Clubs. Clubs have been leading the way when it comes to contact tracing and ensuring that a safe environment is provided to our members and guests and at this time, we will continue to operate on the same restrictions that were imposed in late June.
I appreciate that it is difficult to keep up with the ‘current’ rules particularly as they are regularly changing and differ between types of businesses and state jurisdictions. Throughout the pandemic I have taken a conservative approach with the opening of our Food & Beverage operation. Over the past two weeks we have moved dining and bar service back into Halyards and this has gone very well, however, I have limited after race gatherings in the Clubhouse. This will change from this weekend as we welcome limited numbers of ‘members only’ back into Halyards following racing. We will also be welcoming registered competitors in the Mick Hole One Design/ Sports Boat Regatta into the Edinburgh Bar after racing on Saturday and in Halyards on Sunday.
Please note that we are still limited in the number of people allowed into the Club and with several hundred competitors out on the water we will unfortunately not be able to cater for everyone when they return from racing. First in, best dressed and again, it will be ‘members only’ after racing, so please have your membership card ready to present at reception.
A reminder that patrons must be seated to eat and drink. Standing around having a drink and a chat or mingling between groups is not permitted. Social distancing requirements must be maintained so please follow instructions from staff.
Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support of the Club
Please look after yourself and those around you.
