The Pittwater Broken Bay Regatta

This weekend sees the annual Pittwater Regatta 2020 take centre stage with the Sydney 38 Class Nationals (14-16); followed by (on 15-16) the Premier Class offshore series with 6 windward/leeward races scheduled; the Pittwater Estuary Series 2 races (1 per day) which includes the ENSIGN Yachts 'Country of Origin Series', a fun competition based on boat make (Bavaria, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Italia, Hanse, J Boats and more). A great new Perpetual has been handmade and will be presented to the Origin winner on Sunday and Inshore we have the Summer One Design and Sports boat and Y88 Class regatta, 6 W/L races.

Three course areas are planned to cater for the various racing formats on offer.

  • From the Premier and Performance racing yachts, who will compete offshore on a grand prix windward leeward course
  • The ENSIGN Yachts 'Country of Origin' Estuary Passage Series of races for club racers and cruisers.- CLICK HERE for more information

  • Additionally there will be an inshore Summer Sprint Series for a variety of fast paced one design and sports boats.

On Saturday afternoon crews will be entertained back at the Alfred’s Clubhouse by the Aston Martini’s performing a great mix of Cool Swing and Classic Soul with a touch of class and lots of energy. 
 
Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay is joining the festivities for Pittwater hosting the on water management of the Estuary Series.

Post racing on Saturday be entertained back at Halyards & lawn by the The Aston Martinis .

About RPAYC

The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club - RPAYC is a yacht racing and sailing club based on Pittwater.

The yacht club offers year round inshore and offshore racing, cruising, centreboard dinghy racing, sail training and courses plus has a large marina accommodating up to 352 vessels.

There is also a modern boatyard with comprehensive marine services to help maintain your vessel.

Membership, including family membership is now available.
