Laser Green Fleet

Description

Laser Green Fleet Sailors focus on boat handling skills, as they advance through the program they touch on racing skills and strategy but the focus is heavily boat handling oriented. The Laser Green Fleet is a fantastic option for children and adults alike to learn to sail a Laser or to develop their boat handling skills. The Laser Green Fleet is instructed by Australian Sailing (AS) accredited instructors. During training, sailors will learn new drills and skills necessary to go sailing safely and competently. Racing is encouraged and incorporated into the training session. Please note race entry for the Spring season is included in entry.

Course Summary

Course Day/ Time: Sunday/ 11:30 - ~15:30

*Please note participants are expected to be rigged, dressed and ready to go sailing at these times. Coaches will be on hand earlier than the indicated times to help participants rig if help is required.

Dates:  4th February - 8th April. (Please note: No training is scheduled on the 25th March and 1st of April).

Please note for all the below courses, the following conditions apply:

A minimum of 6 participants is needed for each course to proceed. If minimum numbers aren't reached by Wednesday 24th January, the Club will endeavour to combine courses to ensure some form of training still occurs for those who want it. If training is cancelled due to insufficient numbers full refunds will be issued.

Maximum numbers for each course will be 8, if this number is exceeded, the Club will endeavour to find coaching staff to comply with AS guidelines. Volunteer parent safety boat drivers may be required to allow the course to go ahead. Enrolment is on a first come first serve basis.

Payment is required to confirm a participants position on the course.

Enrolment in each course will be reviewed by the Head Coach ensuring suitable course allocation.
