The RPAYC's Centreboard Dinghy Division is an active family based community. Using recognised international dinghy pathway classes, there is an opportunity for the whole family to spend time on water. Parents and kids can race alongside one another while other family members have the opportunity to spend time on the water through volunteering during racing.
The Alfreds strives for "Éxcellence in Sailing”, and this is fully embodied by our centreboard community. Regular racing and training is run in a highly professional manner without losing the family fun of a volunteer based system. RPAYC’s dinghy sailors have a long history of success on a state, national, and international level. The facilities and knowledge within the club allows sailors to take their sailing to whatever level they desire.
Racing at the club is most Sundays throughout summer, whilst the Ice Breaker Series provides regatta sailing once a month through winter.
