The Nautiseum

The Nautiseum is a painting by the internationally acclaimed artist Charles Billich. Inspired by the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club’s 150th anniversary, it is a surreal composition showing a gallery of paintings surmounted by Captain Cook’s Endeavour sailing magnificently into Sydney Harbour. Charles is well known for his opus on the arrival of the first fleet painted for the Australian bicentenary. This unique painting forms a stimulating sequel to that work.

There will be a limited edition of 150 signed prints of the original painting. The copies will be printed on high quality art paper and will be approximately 82x65cm including a white border with the RPAYC Sesquicentenary logo. All proceeds from copies purchased through the RPAYC will be donated to our IdS Fund supporting Sailability, Soldier On, the Sydney Invictus Games and other similar causes. The price for a signed limited edition of the Nautiseum is $ 950. However for a purchase in our
sesquicentenary month of October this is discounted to $ 750. If purchased at the Gala Dinner or Sesquicentenary Garden Party Charles Billich will be available to sign a personalised dedication on the print.

Charles Billich will be attending the Garden Party on Sunday (15 October) and will be able to sign copies of the artwork Nautiseum for members who purchase on the day. The Original Artwork and limited edition prints #2-149. Unlimited editions will be available for $150.
