2013/2014 International 420 Australian National Championships

By Josh Dawson
10 Jan 2014
This year’s nationals at Sorrento Sailing & Couta Boat Club on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula started off with a bang, only achieving one of the three scheduled races on the first day due to a 40 – 50 knot southerly front blowing more than half the fleet over just before the second start. We managed to sail the boat back to shore in one piece, with the only damage being to the top batten of our jib. Happy with our 5th in the first race we headed home and prepared ourselves for day two.
