The Nature of this Rendezvous Cruise
The RPAYC Sesquicentenary Coral Coast 2017 Rendezvous Cruise is an independently sailed cruise based on departure from Pittwater from May 2017, and return in October 2017 for the Club 150 years celebrations,
The CC17 Cruise is designed to enable participants to leave Pittwater on their personal time table and return at a time to suit their commitments. Participants will sail as far north as their personal timetable allows and will turn south at any point and/or time and re-synchronise at any future rendezvous location. The cruise is therefore flexible in cruising time, cruising distance, cruising locations and cruising company.
This is an organised rendezvous cruise only, with no organised on-water component. Requirements are set out in the CC17 NORC. You can download the CC17 Notice of Rendezvous Cruise from the Documents page of this website. (NORC and Rendezvous Cruise Instructions (RCI).

Electrical Maintenance Seminar
This seminar is an introduction to Marine Electrics and Troubleshooting. It is about understanding what a cruising sailor should expect from a marine electrical system and then how to manage those expectations.
It deals with three basic questions:
1. What is my daily electrical consumption?
2. What battery types and capacity do I require?
3. What battery charge devices, charge current and charge time do I require?
Understanding both the meaning and answers to these questions will ensure trouble free electrical operation.
As the battery is the core of all marine electrical installation, this lecture is primarily about batteries, how they work, how to manage and maintain them. The course also covers basic marine DC circuits, marine systems and how to diagnose basic marine DC faults.
Preparation, Navigation & Seamanship
A panel discussion andwith opportunity for discussion of points and issues raised by those attending.

A number of northbound and southbound rendezvous locations and windows are defined in the Coral Coast 2017 Cruise Schedule. Cruise participants wishing to rendezvous will meet at each rendezvous location during the rendezvous window to share prior passage experiences in the traditional First Friday format, and discuss and plan the next cruise passage prior to departing in company or individually for the next rendezvous location. You can download the Cruise Schedule HERE.
