Laser Green Fleet


Unfortunately, Laser Green fleet shall not operate over winter due to a lack of enrolments.

Laser Training Fleet Sailors focus on boat handling skills, as they advance through the program they touch on racing skills and strategy but the focus is heavily boat handling oriented. The Laser Training Fleet is a fantastic option for children and adults alike to learn to sail a Laser or to devlop their boat handling skills. The Laser Training Fleet is instructed by Australian Sailing (AS) accredited instructors. During training sailors will learn new drills and skills necessary to go sailing safely and competently. Racing is encouraged in the Icebreaker series as the experience helps improve the participants skill and enjoyment of the sport.


Day/ Time: (x11) Sundays, 11:30 - 13:30

The Dates:  7th, 14th, and 28th May. 4th, 11th and 25th June. 23rd and 30th July. 6th, 13th and 27th August. Please note: No training in School Holidays or on Ice Breaker Race Days.

Cost: $490.00

Please note for all the below courses, the following conditions apply:

A minimum of 6 participants is needed for each course to proceed. If minimum number's aren't reached by Thursday 4th May (2017), the Club will endeavour to combine courses to ensure some form of training still occurs for those who want it. If training is cancelled due to insufficient numbers full refunds will be issued.

Maximum numbers for each course will be 8, if this number is exceeded, the Club will endeavour to find coaching staff to comply with AS guidelines. Volunteer parent safety boat drivers may be required to allow the course to go ahead. Enrolment is on a first come first serve basis.

Payment is required to confirm a participants position on the course.

Enrolment in each course will be reviewed by the Head Coach ensuring suitable course allocation.


The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club - RPAYC is a yacht racing and sailing club based on Pittwater.

The yacht club offers year round inshore and offshore racing, cruising, centreboard dinghy racing, sail training and courses plus has a large marina accommodating up to 352 vessels.

There is also a modern boatyard with comprehensive marine services to help maintain your vessel.

Membership, including family membership is now available.
